In addition to what you choose to hang in your windows, there are also several different ways that you can showcase your treatments. Most panels come in premade lengths of 63, 84, 95, 108, and 120 inches, and measuring 45 inches wide. Many curtains and other window treatments come in standard sizes which is more cost-effective than custom pieces. These different adornments allow you to easily add fun things like texture, color, and pattern to a room. Luckily, you can add your choice of drapes, valances, or other curtain picks to beef up the design side of things. However, these functional choices rarely offer much in terms of style when used on their own. Items like blinds and shades can help reduce light, provide excellent privacy, and keep your home cool. There are drapes, café curtains, valances, blinds, black-out curtains, and more filling the window-dressing aisle of your local home store. I didn’t use a liner during this test because I wanted to see whether a shower curtain alone could prevent water from leaving the tub and how well it would dry after getting drenched.Designing a look for your window treatments can be almost dizzying with all of the available options.
